EcoCarbonMonitor has been developed as part of the Arctic Carbon Warning Network (AWARE) combining advanced ecosystem modeling with satellite data to provide near real-time estimates of carbon dioxide and methane fluxes between Arctic and boreal ecosystems and the atmosphere.

Carbon Flux Monitoring Site Map

The EcoCarbonMonitor model has been validated against a network of eddy covariance flux towers across the Arctic-Boreal region. This map shows key sites providing the ground-truth data essential for calibrating our landscape carbon flux estimates.
